OBAN 2018 Highlands & Islands Music & Dance Festival

A very talented group of girls travelled to Oban this weekend to compete in the Highlands and Islands Music & Dance Festival incorporating the Scottish Area Finals, the Scottish Choreography Challenge, Pre-premier Competition and Premier Competition. Our girls all danced beautifully resulting in fantastic placings over the whole weekend.

Congratulations to ALL Dancers.

It was an excellent weekend. The 22 girls competing did themselves, their parents and Miss Orr proud.

Team Lanarkshire came 5th Overall - our dancers Lucy Stewart, Amelia Barton and Tess Bell were competing as part of this team.

Adult Section - not placed but danced beautifully

Beginners 7 Years and under - Eva Neilson - Overall Runner up and Special Fling Trophy

Intermediate 12 years and over - Iona Simpson Overall Winner, Emma McCafferty Overall Runner up

11 years and under - Katie Semple, Lucy Stewart, Amelia Barton, Catherine Gibson - Medals

12 years and over - Katy Stewart, Mary McColl, Hannah Clark, Heather Murray, Abbie Mountfort - Medals
